Reumo
Apresentar um artefato tecnológico (framework), como resultado de um experimento, suportado pela combinação de teorias e, desenvolvido para que possa ser utilizado pelos praticantes de gerenciamento de projetos, no sentido de definir as estruturas organizacionais dos projetos, as práticas gerenciais e os modelos relacionais dos envolvidos durante o ciclo de vida dos projetos, para se aumentar a percepção de sucesso. Utilizando os conceitos da teoria da CLT (Construal Level Theory), que explicita que as distâncias psicológicas afetam o comportamento, a percepção e o julgamento dos indivíduos submetidos a elas, buscou-se, através da realização de um experimento, a relação causal entre essas distâncias psicológicas e a percepção de sucesso em projetos. Uma forma de verificar a validade do framework foi através de uma análise retrospectiva, de um caso real de alta relevância, que contemplou as dificuldades enfrentadas pela Boeing durante o projeto de desenvolvimento de sua inovadora aeronave, o 787 Dreamliner. Bem-sucedido no seu final, este projeto sofreu grandes atrasos, provocou custos excessivos, além de prejuízos ao ativo intangível da Boeing. Verificou-se que a aplicação dos preceitos da CLT reverteu o quadro caótico experimentado no projeto e, foi fundamental para vencer os desafios (problemas) e ter o projeto concluído com êxito.
Abstract
Present a technological artifact (framework), as a result of an experiment, supported by the combination of theories and developed so that it can be used by practitioners of project management, in order to define the organizational structures of projects, management practices and models relationships of those involved during the life cycle of the projects, in order to increase the perception of success. Using the concepts of the theory of CLT (Constructal Level Theory), which explains that psychological distances affect the behavior, perception and judgment of individuals subjected to them, we sought, through an experiment, the causal relationship between these distances. psychological distances and the perception of success in projects. One way to verify the validity of the framework was through a retrospective analysis of a real case of high relevance, which included the difficulties faced by Boeing during the development project of its innovative aircraft, the 787 Dreamliner. Successful in its end, this project suffered major delays, caused excessive costs, in addition to damage to Boeing's intangible assets. It was found that the application of CLT precepts reversed the chaotic situation experienced in the project and was fundamental to overcome the challenges (problems) and have the project successfully completed.
