Reumo
O setor de saneamento brasileiro tem passado por transformações significativas desde a sanção da Lei 14.026/2020, que estabelece que até 31/12/2033 99% da população deve ter acesso a água potável. Dessa forma, esta pesquisa tem o objetivo de analisar a relação entre os investimentos e os indicadores de atendimento dos serviços de tratamento e distribuição de água antes e depois da lei. A base de informações utilizada foi a do Sistema Nacional de Informações sobre o Saneamento - SNIS, sendo selecionadas informações de 25 empresas estatais, para o período antes (2017 a 2019) e após (2020 a 2022) a Lei n° 14.026/2020. A metodologia aplicada na pesquisa reuniu análises estatísticas de correlação, teste de médias e regressão linear. Os resultados apontaram que o crescimento no investimento sensibiliza mais positivamente as demais variáveis relativo ao atendimento de água tratada a população pós a Lei 14.026/2020, então podemos constatar que os investimentos em sistema de abastecimento de água realizados pelas empresas após a Lei n° 14.026/2020, estão trazendo mais resultados para a população.
Abstract
The Brazilian sanitation sector has undergone significant transformations since the enactment of Law 14.026/2020, which establishes that by 12/31/2033 99% of the population must have access to drinking water. Thus, this research aims to analyze the relationship between investments and indicators of service provision of water treatment and distribution services before and after the law. The information base used was that of the National Sanitation Information System - SNIS, with information selected from 25 state-owned companies, for the period before (2017 to 2019) and after (2020 to 2022) Law No. 14.026/2020. The methodology applied in the research brought together statistical analyses of correlation, mean test and linear regression. The results showed that the growth in investment has a more positive impact on the other variables related to the provision of treated water to the population after Law 14,026/2020, so we can see that investments in the water supply system made by companies after Law No. 14,026/2020 are bringing more results for the population.
