O objetivo deste estudo é testar empiricamente um modelo conceitual que inclui a capacidade absortiva, a ambidestria, o desempenho de inovação e o desempenho da empresa A pesquisa foi realizada com micro e pequenas empresas brasileiras e os respondentes foram os empresários dos estabelecimentos Para coleta de dados foi utilizada a metodologia de aplicação de questionários ou surveys autoadministrados, por intermédio da internet que resultou em 313 casos com respostas válidas para o teste das hipóteses Os dados foram tratados e analisados por meio de estatística descritiva e inferencial com auxílio do software estatístico SPSS® versão 20, e, as hipóteses foram testadas pelo método de modelagem de equações estruturais com apoio do software SmartPLS SEM versão 3 3 5 Os resultados desta investigação revelam que a capacidade absortiva influencia positivamente a ambidestria organizacional, no desempenho da inovação e negativamente no desempenho da empresa; que a ambidestria organizacional influencia positivamente no desempenho da inovação e no desempenho da empresa; e, que o desempenho da inovação influencia positivamente no desempenho da empresa O estudo contribui para a pesquisa reforçando os papéis da capacidade absortiva, ambidestria organizacional e desempenho da inovação como fatores que devem ser considerados para melhorar o desempenho das micro
Abstract
The aim of this study is to empirically test a conceptual model that includes absorptive capacity, ambidexterity, innovation performance and firm performance. The research was carried out with micro and small Brazilian companies and the respondents were the businessmen of the establishments. For data collection, the methodology of application of self-administered questionnaires or surveys was used, through the internet, which resulted in 313 cases with valid answers for testing the hypotheses. The data were treated and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the help of the SPSS® statistical software version 20, and the hypotheses were tested by the structural equation modeling method with the support of the SmartPLS SEM version 3.3.5 software. The results of this investigation reveal that the absorptive capacity positively influences the organizational ambidexterity, in the innovation performance and negatively in the company's performance; that organizational ambidexterity positively influences innovation performance and company performance; and, that the performance of innovation positively influences the performance of the company. The study contributes to the research reinforcing the roles of absorptive capacity, organizational ambidexterity and innovation performance as factors that should be considered to improve the performance of micro and small companies.
